Amy Du is an advanced registered nurse and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. She has a master’s degree in nursing with a special focus in psychiatric mental health across the lifespan. Amy graduated from Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, California in May of 2024 and is the CEO & Founder of Walnut Psychiatry & Wellness, a Professional Nursing Corporation.
Amy has over 14 years of diverse nursing experience in both the medical and psychiatric realm. She worked as a bedside registered nurse in medical-surgical & telemetry units at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center for over 6 years. This included working on the frontline of the COVID unit (her unit at Kaiser LAMC turned into the designated COVID unit) during the prime of the pandemic. She has also worked at 2 different inpatient psychiatric hospitals and in an outpatient psychiatric clinic where she honed in her telehealth skills.
Amy now provides comprehensive & integrative mental health care focusing on the combination of traditional psychiatry, which includes psychiatric medication management and psychotherapy and integrative psychiatry, which includes holistic, lifestyle interventions, with a focus on diet, movement, and how to incorporate natural supplements to enhance well-being.
Amy is a member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association, California Association for Nurse Practitioners, and Children and Adults with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (CHADD). She is also working on her certificate from the Institute of Integrative Psychiatry and is in Dr. Elana Miller’s Integrative Psychiatry Mentorship Program.
